SHERINGA OGANGA

PRESIDENT, TEXAS TECH WACO CHAPTER 2017-2018

Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, science became an early love; an area of curiosity. That passion became medicine. Sherine first became treasurer … then president of her high school chapter of St. John Ambulance Cadets. An organization focusing on disaster response and community growth through various outreach programs. Medicine, the desire to care for persons, and the empowerment of the less fortunate in society, has lead to her FPA membership. As an intentional member of the FPA team, she accepted the role of the TTU-Waco chapter president for 2017-2018. Sherine serves her local community wholeheartedly by volunteering. She volunteers at a battered women’s shelter, church, tutors and mentors at risk youth, and through Future Physicians of America.

What We Do

FUTURE PHYSICIANS OF AMERICA IS AN ORGANIZATION THAT SEEKS OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW AS AN ORDER OF HUMANITY – TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEFINITION OF A HEALER

Our purpose is to become this and maintain a good foundation in true-hearted charity of one’s time and effort for the betterment of community. Furthermore, our goals are to give students at the Waco campus opportunities to receive instruction; opportunities they otherwise would not have received.
